Folk, country and bluegrass will be played on Saturday from 12:30 at the pool in Bilina. This year’s Babí leto festival on Kyselka will be decorated by Robert Křestťan and Druhá trava, Ivo Viktorin Trio, Tomáš Matonoha and others.
At 10 o’clock in the House of Culture in Litomeřice, the wine harvest festival begins – the famous Litomerice harvest. There will be tastings of wine, burčak and various delicacies, a rich cultural program – for example, at 15:30 there will be a concert by Adam Mišik, performances by Pepa Vojtek or Děda Mládek Illegal Band, Voice and others. the program also includes the Luminas fire show, games for children and historical scenes.
Ústí nad Labem lives on Saturday – the 12th year of the Mattoni 1/2 Marathon takes place there. Not only professionals will compete, but also families with children as part of the DM family run or amateur runners. An accompanying program will also be held.
The open-air archaeological museum Březno u Loun invites you to gouache on September 17, to celebrate the autumnal equinox. You will see what agriculture looked like in prehistoric times, harvests, demonstrations of prehistoric cooking, there is also a children’s program and workshops. Admission is voluntary.
In Čomutovo, there is a big event called Night of the Miniature Museum. The museum will have almost all of its permanent exhibits and current exhibitions open for free throughout Saturday. For example, visitors can enjoy a workshop on the theme of miniatures with the opportunity to try out restoration equipment or a mysterious tour of the church and cellar accompanied by ancient music.
European Heritage Days are also celebrated in Žatec. You will see colorful pictures from the history of Žatec monuments. In addition to current exhibitions, a total of nine Žatec courtyards, three churches and three buildings of the Native Museum in Žatec will be opened. Miroslav Ryska will play the organ in the Dean’s Church.
But that is far from everything. As part of the Porta Aperta event, the gates of almost eighty craft workshops and farms across the Czech Republic will be opened. He will be joined by two studios in Dolní Poohří – the Skloart workshop of the Kant family in Lubenac and the Eiwan studio in Evan near Libochovice. Visitors can try working with glass and stone. It is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
On Saturday evening, the Lípa Musica music festival continues in the church of St. Kryštof in Kryštofov Údolí with a concert by the children’s choir Severáček from Liberec.
And don’t forget that during European Heritage Day there are many interesting objects that are not normally available to visitors during the weekend. Among them, for example, is Wolfrum’s luxurious villa on Na Schodech Street in Usti nad Labem, where Czech Radio Sever is headquartered – so come and “fight”!
Sunday, September 18
On Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., you can visit the villa of Czech Radio North in Usti nad Labem. Come and see us – you will see the exhibition spaces of the former mansion of the Wolfrum family and we will introduce you to the history of the building.
In Usti nad Labem, however, there is more to offer as part of the European Heritage Days event – you can go on a circular walk like this. In the period from 1 to 3 p.m., there will be tours of the Drama Studio with actor Jan Plouhar. Tours of the North Bohemian Theater will take place from 9:00 a.m. (the last tour starts at 1:00 p.m.), you can also visit the Parní vodárna in Střekovo from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., and you can also take a look at the Ceremonial Hall of the Ignatz Petschko Palace Villa in Churchillova Street , and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. you can also visit Trmice Castle.
You can also go to Klášterec nad Ohří and enjoy a guided tour of Šumna Castle – you will learn more not only about the history of the castle, but also interesting things from geology.
Duchcov Castle offers tours of the Waldštejn cellar on Sundays, tours start at 10 a.m., 12:30 p.m., and 3 p.m.
Jewish music and klezmer for cello, that’s the name of the concert at the synagogue in Ustka. It is a reminder of the Jewish community in Úštěk and the Holocaust. Dominika Weiss Hoškova and Jiří Hošek play the cello. It starts on September 18 at 4 p.m.
We will also add the opening of Cyril Bouda’s exhibition – mastery of illustration in the gallery of Emil Juliš in Černčice in Loun. Original illustrations for, for example, Andersen’s fairy tales or Čapko’s apocrypha will be exhibited.
