Smart Písek is launching another course for young entrepreneurs in the fall

SAND – Take it! That’s the name of the free course for entrepreneurship, which interested parties have already been able to attend twice in Písek. It met with a great response, almost a hundred people signed up for it. This course will be held again in the fall, and thanks to the support of the city, it will again be free. The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 11 at 17:30 at the City Library in Pisek.

Previous courses have enabled participants to start their projects without risk and unnecessary investments, and many ideas have thus acquired the right dimensions. Also thanks to the success of Take it! today in Písek there is an active community of enterprising people who meet regularly under expert guidance.

The development of entrepreneurship is one of the city’s strategic goals, so Smart Písek plans to continue with the program in 2023. In this way, it will gradually nurture entrepreneurship in the region and give a chance for the birth of new fresh ideas from its citizens. “Entrepreneurship is a clear indicator of a healthy city and Smart Písek strives to actively support it in this regard,” said Miloš Prokýšek, head of the Smart Písek organizational unit.

In the role of lecturers, the program also includes local entrepreneurs who can share their local business experience. “We are very happy that the city management decided to extend the cooperation, in order to build together on the solid foundations of the initial cooperation. It is very encouraging to see how strategically and long-term the city thinks about supporting citizen entrepreneurs”, comments Max Dužek, one of the authors of the project Podnikni to!, an extension of the cooperation.

The course activities help the participants to perfect their ideas and the cornerstone of their own business. However, the uniqueness of the program lies mainly in the accompanying community activities that serious business people can get involved in after the course. As a result, business projects are developed in the long term, and their authors are therefore not forced to travel for business support and knowledge.

One of the successful graduates of the course and a member of the Entrepreneurs’ Club is Andrea Sedláčková, who, in addition to the production of homemade jams, started another project, the vegan Bistro Ája. She would like to gradually establish a basic factory and combine cooking and fermentation courses with the bistro project. Although Andrea is an experienced entrepreneur, her experience with Podnikni to! evaluates positively. “The course showed me the pitfalls and clearly indicated what and how to do and what not to do,” he notes. Those interested can register in advance on the website podniknito.cz.
