Restaurant Grosseto has been bringing a little Italy to the Czech Republic for more than 25 years

The first Grosseto restaurant was opened in 1996 in Dejvice, Prague, and quickly gained a good name that it still maintains. Well-prepared pizza, fresh and dried pasta, a nice selection of appetizers and desserts, fresh and above all quality ingredients, here you can enjoy the atmosphere of friendly Italy not far from Kulaťák.

Since the opening of this restaurant in Dejvice, the Grosseto restaurant chain has grown quite a bit, and today you can find it at four more locations in Prague and Průhonice. It is also proof that people love authentic Italian cuisine in high-quality design.

Since I live nearby, I remain faithful to the original Dejvice branch. Although today’s menu is bigger, I love wood-fired pizza or excellent pasta in Grosseto. And since I had a sick daughter at home, this time I ordered food for the house through the Dáme jedelo app. In 35 minutes the courier rang the doorbell, the food arrived warm and suitably wrapped.

I chose between appetizers Pepperoni ripieni di formaggio (190 CZK), which are roasted and peeled peppers stuffed with a mixture of ricotta and feta cheese, seasoned with garlic, fresh basil and balsamic dressing. Along with that came two smaller pizza puffs. In my opinion, this looks like a great appetizer, everything was perfect, I really enjoyed it.

Of course, I had to order a pizza for my daughter. She won from the big offer Pizza Basilicata (CZK 280), which is a tomato-based pizza, topped with ham, prosciutto crudo, cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, parmesan pieces and fresh basil. This pizza was simply good, the high quality standard is why people keep coming back to Grosseto.

However, I am the representative of the pasta team, so my choice of main course was clear. In Grosseto, they have a large selection of dried and fresh homemade pasta dishes. This time I tried fresh and chose them Linguine alla pescatora (295 CZK). Perfectly cooked pasta with a superbly seasoned sauce and heaps of seafood (squid, scallops, prawns, vongole) topped with fresh cherry tomatoes and basil. For me, therefore, a perfectly prepared meal that would satisfy me even at the seaside.
