Excellent paprika chicken – recipe
We have known chicken paprika since childhood and most of us still love it as adults. We are happy to return to this dish and we also cook it for our children. Read on for the first quick and delicious chili chicken recipe.
Great Paprika Chicken – Ingredients
1 chicken, cut into 8 pieces
1 onion
2 teaspoons of ground sweet pepper
1 tablespoon of oil or fat
1 teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon of plain flour
1 cup of whipping cream (230 ml)
Great paprika chicken – step by step
Remove the skin from the chicken, rinse and dry the meat. Slice the onion.
Heat the fat or oil in a large pot, fry the meat on both sides, just until golden brown, do not fry for too long. Then we take out the meat.
If the onion does not soften in baking, add salt. Then sprinkle with ground paprika, mix and immediately pour 500 ml of water. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, sprinkle with flour, do not mix. Cover and cook for another 20 minutes.
Then mix in the flour, add the cream, mix and cook for a minute. If you want, you can take out the meat and mix in the sauce.
Chicken on paprika is served with pasta, bulgur or dumplings.
A classic of Czech cuisine: creamy chicken on paprika
Chicken in paprika used to be prepared they used hens that no longer lay eggs. Today, chickens are mostly used, but if you ever have the opportunity to make chicken stew from a hen or rooster, don’t hesitate.
Creamy chicken with paprika – ingredients
1 piece of whole chicken
50 g of bacon
1 onion
1 tablespoon of ground sweet pepper
400 ml of poultry stock
5 balls of allspice
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of plain flour
200 ml of sour cream
salt
Creamy chicken on paprika – procedure
Divide the chicken into 8 pieces and sprinkle with salt. Fry the chopped bacon in a pan, fry the chicken on both sides to brown the meat. Then we take out the meat.
Add chopped onion to the pastry with bacon, fry until golden, then sprinkle with ground paprika, mix and cover with a cup of stock. Return the meat to the pot, add new spices, cover with a lid and simmer for about 40 minutes. We continuously check whether the meat has enough broth.
Remove the tender chicken to a cutting board and remove the meat from the bones.
Mix the butter and flour and drop the resulting ball into the soup. Beat the slowly melting butter with the flour with a whisk. Cook for 10 minutes, then stir in the sour cream. Bring to a boil, set aside.
We serve the dish with pasta.

4 chicken legs

1 teaspoon of oil
1 teaspoon of butter
1 onion
1 spoon of sweet paprika
200 ml of whipping cream
2 teaspoons of plain wheat flour
FOR THE GNOCCHI:
1 egg
1 tablespoon of butter
1 spoon of cream
1 pinch of mace
100 g semolina (or baby semolina)
Luxury chicken on paprika with homemade boats – procedure
Season the chicken with salt. Heat oil and butter in a saucepan, add chopped onion and fry until soft.
Add the meat and brown it on all sides. Then leave the meat aside, sprinkle the onion with paprika, and as soon as it foams, add a little hot water; just enough so that the thigh is immersed about halfway.
Simmer for about 30 minutes on low heat. Remove the soft meat and leave it warm.
Mix the cream with the flour and pour into the sauce, stirring constantly. Stir and simmer gently for 15-20 minutes to thicken the sauce.
For the gnocchi, beat the butter with a pinch of salt and an egg until it becomes foamy and gradually mix in the semolina and cream.
From the mixture, form triangular gnocchi with two spoons facing each other (soak the spoons in cold water beforehand) and put them in boiling salted water.
Cook for 10-15 minutes, then remove the gnocchi with a slotted spoon.
Remove the skin from the thigh (if desired) and scrape the meat from the bone. Strain the sauce over the meat through a fine sieve, add salt and serve with the gnocchi.

2 chicken breasts
2 pieces of thighs
1 tablespoon of ground sweet pepper
100 ml of milk
250 ml of whipping cream

oil
butter
flour
salt
pepper
Pohlreich’s Paprika Chicken – the process
Cut the breast and thighs in half, season with salt and pepper.
Put some oil and butter in a pan and heat it. When the butter begins to turn golden, add the meat, skin side down, and fry until golden brown on both sides for about 3-4 minutes.
Then we take out the roasted meat and add chopped onions to the dough, which we fry until golden.
Add the ground pepper and mix with the onion. Then pour some broth and return the meat to the pan. Add a little milk and cream so that the meat is 3/4 submerged. Cover with a lid and simmer for about 45 minutes.
Mix the butter and flour into the roux. Remove the meat from the pan and add the roux to the sauce and mix with a whisk and cook for 10 minutes.
Add the rest of the cream to the sauce and set aside, then mix.
Return the meat to the sauce and let it heat up and serve.
We can serve it with rice or noodles.

Cut the chicken breast into large cubes, and finely chop the onion.
Add the onion to the heated oil and fry until golden brown, then add the meat and fry on both sides. Remove the meat.
Sprinkle the onion in the pan with paprika and stir. Cover with water and add the meat. Sprinkle with flour and let cook until soft.
Then mix well. Add the cream and let it boil.
