According to scientific research, red wine contains effective polyphenols, which are powerful antioxidants that protect human cells from negative influences. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic wines contain them. They reduce blood pressure, the occurrence of cardiovascular diseases or diabetes and act as a preventive measure against colon, ovarian or prostate cancer. A glass of red wine a day reduces the risk of developing dementia and Alzheimer’s disease. Compared to old red wines, young red wines contain more tannins, which are very beneficial.
