Homemade pizza as if from Italian masters. You can’t get it anywhere else

If you’ve made a New Year’s resolution to try new things, you might enjoy our homemade pizza recipe. Sure, it’s great to go to a fast food restaurant every now and then for a slice of pizza or enjoy this Italian delicacy at a pizzeria, but making pizza at home has a lot of advantages. You know what you’re putting in it, you can season it and decorate it just the way you want, and you’ll also win the admiration of all guests – whether it’s your children’s palate or a large family visit.

we will need:

  • 1 kg of plain flour
  • 42 g of yeast
  • 4 tablespoons of white yogurt
  • olive oil
  • salt
  • sugar

Let’s prepare a bucket of warm water in which we crumble the yeast and add a spoonful of sugar so that the yeast works well. Let the yeast rise, and in the meantime prepare the flour and mix it with a teaspoon of salt. Add a little olive oil, white yogurt and about half a liter of warm water to the yeast. Then mix the flour into the liquid mixture and make a compact firm dough. Cover the bowl and let the dough rise in peace.

We divide the dough into parts from which we want to shape the pizza and let it rise for a few more minutes. After that, we make a pancake out of the individual buns, which we coat with olive oil, apply a base and cover with snacks of our choice. (It doesn’t matter if we fail to make the typical circular shape, it doesn’t matter so much when baking at home).

We will bake the pizza at a minimum temperature of 250 °C, and the baking will last between five and ten minutes.

What do we put on top?

Every pizza needs a “wet” base, otherwise it would be too dry and spoil the taste. Tomatoes are most often used, but you can also prepare a cream that is suitable for pizzas with cheese. To prepare the tomato base, we prepare canned tomatoes, which we cut and stew in a pan together with olive oil, garlic and oregano or other spices to taste.

Among the most basic ingredients added to pizza are ham, bacon or other sausages, cheeses, mushrooms or olives. But as soon as we get our hands on the basic recipe, we can start experimenting and trying different flavor combinations. There are no limits to imagination when it comes to homemade pizza.
