Sternber Castle will participate in European Heritage Days on Saturday. Visitors can look forward to costumed tours focused on gastronomy. Tastings of historical dishes will also be held. Special tours start at ten in the morning.
Bohuňovice in Olomouc will smell goulash on Saturday. A competition in cooking this popular dish will be held on the playground near the Cultural Center. The chefs start working at eleven o’clock in the morning, the program for the public starts at 2 o’clock.
The castle in Náměšt na Hané will come alive on Saturday with an event called the Apple Festival. The program will include games and workshops for children, sales of apples and cider. The event starts at 1 p.m.
Club Teplo in Přerovo belongs to mycologists since Friday. In the morning, a two-day mushroom exhibition began there. Today it is available until seven o’clock in the evening, on Saturday you can visit it from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The program includes lectures and mycological consultations.
The Přerov exhibition center comes alive on weekends with an exhibition of poultry, rabbits, pigeons and exotic birds. At the same time, the area will also host the District Harvest Festivals, which will offer, for example, regional food tastings, farmers’ markets and an exhibition of agricultural machinery. The event starts on Saturday and Sunday at 9 am.
You can also go to Prostějov on Saturday for the European Heritage Day event. This time, the Metro cinema will be open to visitors for a guided tour at 9:30 am. The next tour will take place at two o’clock in the afternoon, and its participants will follow in the footsteps of the Pernštejn family from the gazebo in Smetana’s gardens.
On Saturday, you can take your children on a fairytale trip to Kostelka na Hané in Prostějovsk. Those interested will find fairy-tale creatures, fun tasks or a castle. The event starts at 2 pm in front of the town hall.
On Saturday you can go to Šumperk for goodies. The Honey Festival will be held in the agricultural high school there. The parade will start at nine in the morning and last until 4:00 p.m. You can expect a sales exhibition of bee products, honey and mead tasting, a honey trail for children or a demonstration of the beekeeper’s work.
The following call is intended for music lovers. On Sunday, I can go to the church of St. Barbara in Zábřeh for a concert by the guitarist and composer Štěpán Rak. His performance starts at 4 p.m.
On Saturday, runners with their canine companions will set off for Velká Kraš in Jesenice. In the vicinity of the village, they will take part in the canikross races called Ve dvou po Jeseníkách. The five-kilometer long route with several obstacles leads through forest paths and meadows and is mainly intended for amateur competitors. Their registration starts at 9 am. The first competitors will hit the track at 11 a.m.
Lumberjacks will test their strength in the Priessnitz Spa in Jesenik on Saturday. He will participate in the championship of the Czech Republic in lumberjacks. The event program starts at ten o’clock in the morning.
